Monday afternoon’s impressive performance in the men’s skateboarding event allowed Team USA to increase the number of medals it has won.
In the skateboarding street event on Monday, Jagger Eaton and Nyjah Huston gave Team USA two more medals.
Eaton, the bronze medallist from the Tokyo Olympics, won silver in Paris. With a final total score of 281.04, he behind Japan’s Yuto Horigome, who successfully defended his gold medal, by just a tenth of a point.
Huston placed ninth in Tokyo and earned bronze with a final score of 279.38.
When it counted most, Horigome delivered a vicious 97.08 on his last trick to raise his total score to 281.14 and cement his status as the only skateboarder to earn the gold medal in the competition.
